LARSyS co-organized a number of renowned International conferences and workshops.
- In the area of Robotics LARSyS co-chaired IEEE ICDL-EPIROB 2017, ICRE 2015, ICRESS 2017, and chaired tracks of IEEE RO-MAN 2017, all held in Lisbon.
- In the area of HCI, LARSYS hosted TEI’2009, Interact’2011, ACE’2014, ITS’2015, ICIDS’2017 and co-chaired CHI, CSCW, DIS, Interact, MobileHCI and PDC all Core A*, A or B conferences.
- In the area of Marine Robotics, LARSyS organized Marine Robotics and Applications (2013 and 2015).
- In the area of Energy, LARSyS organized the Lisbon Laser Symposium, the annual ILASS-Europe conferences; Symposium on Nanofluids (ESNf-2017), Cleanair 2015, the SPEIC2014 Towards Sustainable Combustion, has committee members in biotech conferences (ICBE2016 and Biodevices 2018), Materials and Metallurgical Engineering (MMME’15-17) and Waste Management (2015-17).
LARSYS is also involved in other outreach activities and advising bodies. Yearly, since 2000, LARSYS organizes Summer Schools on Robotics under CIENCIA VIVA and Marine Robotic Systems in India. Prospective actions include “Strategic Narratives of Technology and Africa”, “Open Institute V2: Open in a Time of Closure” and “Bizindalo! The future of technology in Africa and Europe”.
In addition, LARSYS hosted training schools in the context of COST actions “On the collaborative economy” and “From Sharing to Caring”.
